My and mom I watched Thursday's episode of Letterman. He makes a joke about Phil Spector. "Oh yeah. I fucking forgot about that story. He's in jail now."

Paula Abdul comes out as Letterman's first guest. They talk about Susan Boyle. "They were laughing at her. Then, she started singing and blew everybody fucking away."

Mom reads in the paper (from a few days ago) about two chicks who got caught stealing books from Barnes & Noble. "Stealing fucking four and five books at a time. They didn't think they'd get caught?"

PARTING SHOTS
Max tells Liam that we've got scores from Tod's Catering Tournament. (It's a baseball tourney.)

Me: That sounds good. What's he serving?
Liam: Gopher balls.

A Rice player hits a late home run to make the score 12-9 LSU.

D: Here come the Owls.
Bake: Yup. They do better at night.

My favorite five sporting venues I've been to.

5) Ford Field.
Detroit (and the Lions) might suck and be in the tank, but that building is really nice.

4) Superdome.
Seen all three major sports in there. My fondest memories are when I was a kid and we'd go rolling down the exit ramps, which were carpeted.

3) American Airlines Center.
The Dallas basketball arena is immaculate. It's like being in a really classy theatre. The fans, not so classy.

2) Tiger Stadium.
Nothing like it on a Saturday night.

1) Wrigley Field.
I still have the tickets from the games I went to there in my wallet.
