UNC-OKLAHOMA SEMI-RUNNING DIARY

4:17: Timeout Oklahoma. UNC up 13-2. So far, so good. I like this thing where Oklahoma can't make an outside shot.

4:25: FOUL TROUBLE. What was Tyler thinking on that second foul?

4:33: Bake makes a point that the Sooners are soft on the inside. Bake: Blake isn't contesting any shots. He must be afraid of fouling.

4:40: Danny Green is having quite the first half. Kellogg: He's as versatile as baking soda. Bake agrees with him.

4:43: Anytime you can shoot six air balls in one half and still be ahead by 10, you got to scratch your head. Excuse me for a second. ... Sorry, about that. Had an itch.

4:51: The refs are panzies. Panzies, I tell you. We breathe hard near a Sooner, and it's a foul. Ugh.

4:57: Up by nine at the break. I feel like it should be a lot worse. I hope we didn't blow it.

5:20: It'd be nice if we stopped them from shooting layups. And, um, dunks.

5:42: We're playing a one-man team. Griffin's getting his (except at the foul line), but nobody else is doing anything. At all. Gene likes this. (thumbs up symbol.)

5:57: New favorite commercial. Bob Knight, Coach K, Rick Pitino and Roy Williams try playing Guitar Hero, only to be interuppted by Metallica. At this time, the coaches have combined for 2879 wins. Thanks to Lopes for looking that up. My guess was about 400 off.

6:03: Jim Nantz informs us that Obama will finally get a team into the Final Four. Make that two of us.

6:10: And we're going back to the FINAL FOUR. See you in Detroit. Actually, I'll be in Houston. But you get the idea.

6:11: I may have been too negative in this diary. Let's get to the positives. Danny Green was excellent. Lawson came up big in the second half. We played good defense. But in the end, Oklahoma laid an egg in this one. Would have been interesting if they had played well.

6:12: Now, this time at the Final Four, let's try not to blow it. OK, kids?

THE TINA CURSING CORNER

My mom is going through bills and bank statements. "Motherfuck, man. This takes too fucking long."

Mom is watching the Girls Next Door. They visit somebody and take a house tour. "Now, that's a fucking closet."

I tell mom there's a problem with my VCR.
Me: My VCR doesn't record if you set it more than a day in advance.
Mom: That's bullshit.

TV WEEK IN REVIEW

30 Rock. Tracy: "Is this horseville? Cuz I hear a bunch of naysayers." LOL.

Heroes. Loved how Hiro sort of got his power back. Best part of this volume so far.

Scrubs. The first four episodes of the season reminded me of the first five seasons. Good. The next seven came out more like the past two seasons. Not so good. Wednesday's was back to more like the first five seasons. Yeah! I must learn the "I told you so" dance.

How I Met Your Mother / The Office. Found it weird that the main character on both shows left his job and decided to start his own company. And both times someone mentioned that it might not be a good idea because of the economy. I like what Michael told his boss: "You have no idea how high I can fly." Same to you, Marcus.

24. Continues to be awesome. Will Jack die? Yeah, OK.

PARTING SHOTS
Sean Marks makes some nice plays in the Hornets-Spurs game.

JRap: Sean Marks is going to the bathroom on himself.
Bake: As long as it's only on himself.

We've been rooting for the Streak for Cash guy from Denver to win the million dollars from ESPN. Well, yesterday I cheered for him. Today, I didn't because he picked against the Hornets. Anyway, if the Spurs would have won, he would have needed just one more correct pick to win the money. We're discussing the options ESPN will give him in the next few days for the win.

Me: Rugby. Soccer.
JRap: Curling.
Liam: I'd bet on Curlin. That was a good horse.

I'm singing some classic 70s tunes.

Lopes: I think Gene should sing solo. ... So low, we can't hear him.

THE DAILY TOP LIST
Before I look up the years for these movies, I try to guess what year they came out. Usually, I get two or three. Once I got all five. Today, I only got two. At least it's better than my Final Four picks.

15) Conspiracy Theory. 1997.
You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off you.

14) Wild Wild West. 1999.
No, I didn't. I said, "It's nice having her on board, she's a breast of fresh air."

13) Field of Dreams. 1989.
People will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.

12) Forrest Gump 1994.
I'm sorry I ruined your Black Panther party.

11) Hoosiers. 1986.
I'd play for Norman Dale.
